The National Emergency Network (RNE), of the Venezuelan Radio Club (RCV), carries out a series of daily radio broadcasts, in different modalities (VHF, HF, DMR), with the aim of receiving news and data reports of climate conditions, from the many radio amateurs who are found throughout the Venezuelan geography, and sometimes, from some who are beyond our borders.
One of them is the VHF broadcast, which goes on the air daily, on the 147.360 MHz frequency, from 18:00 to 18:30 hours (YV), thanks to the work of a great team of colleagues, of whom I have been part of it since March 2023, and that day by day keeps the spirit of radio amateurs alive in the country. Some members of that team appear in the photo above, taken in April 2023, at the main headquarters of the Venezuelan Radio Club (YV5AJ), in Caracas.
From left to right are: Germán Osorio (YY5MGA) and his wife, Rodolfo Ramírez (YV5BRB), José Machado (YV5SKY), Domingo Hernández (YV5IZE), and myself; Carlos Rivas (YY5RVC), Javier Gilson (YY5OEM), and in front is Michael Tovar (YY5DEA).
“We are all the NATIONAL EMERGENCY NETWORK, and with your report and presence, you strengthen it.”
